Message from the Director

PEERS Proejct director

The ultimate goal of PEERS positive youth development model is to equip young people with the qualities, skills and social competencies everyone needs to develop successful relationships. If they get married in the future, we want them to have the best possible marriage and family life. The fact that people learn more and get more out of experiences that they are actively involved in is the reason why The PEERS Project (PEERS) is dedicated to empowering positive teenage role models and providing constructive experiences that will improve both their lives and the lives of those they mentor.

Since 1994, more than 20,000 positive role models at 50 high schools have had the opportunity to both lead by example and teach PEERS’ curriculum to more than 250,000 peers at 110 middle schools and high schools in Indiana. PEERS’ model also is being replicated in other states.

Contact The PEERS Project and find out how our adult coordinators are working with schools and organizations to identify, affirm and prepare teenagers to change the culture in their communities.
