Health Ed Pros provides training for the high school PEER Leaders (Young Health Educators) and for the first day of the middle school curriculum to discuss the “uncomfortable” stuff and field specific health questions.

As an organization, the mission of Health Ed Pros is to provide health education programming for students, teachers, and staff. Health Ed Pros staff has over 75 years of combined health education expertise including: curriculum development, staff development, and program delivery for early childhood – adults.


Dr. Greg Steeledr-steele

Dr. Steele is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and the MPH Epidemiology Concentration director at IUPUI. He is responsible for conducting and evaluating the PEERS project effectiveness in the middle school setting through surveys completed by the students at the beginning and end of their curriculum week.

Dr. Steele teaches Introduction to Epidemiology, Historical Epidemiology, Environmental Epidemiology, and Public Health Surveillance Systems. He has served as the State Epidemiologist and Director of the Epidemiology Resource Center for the Indiana State Department of Health, and the Senior Epidemiologist for the Marion County Health Department.


College Students of IUPUI

College students of IUPUI serve as Young Adult Mentors to our PEER Leaders. After receiving training and instruction on the PEER curriculum, help PEER leaders with presentations, and host a campus visit day as well as an end-of-the-year PEER Leader celebration.
