Who We Are
The PEERS Project is a one day, peer-to-peer interactive curriculum for middle school students (grades 6, 7, and 8) with a focus on the impact of students’ future decisions.
Through mentoring with high school PEER Leaders, students focus on strengthening personal values and goals in three main areas:
- Media/Cultural Influences
- Personal Relationships
- Friendship and Peer Pressure
Through presentations and activities teens learn how external influences (friends, family, media and other influences) can affect our personal choices/decisions, thus affecting behaviors.
Mission Statement
Participants are to taught to use a decision-making process that will help them identify and strengthen their values and achieve their goals. This is accomplished through interactive, socially relevant, peer-led and adult supervised curriculum.
